Copper is a special among metals - it is, in its alchemical properties, the metal that comes closest to gold.
The positive effect of copper was used very frequently for plants just a few decades ago by adding a copper penny to the watering water overnight. Overnight, components of the copper transferred to the water and thus the plants experienced a strengthening effect.
